  1. The Ban is not imposed at all ! There is a Public Interest Litigation filed in the Supreme Court of India to ban entry into the Core Areas of Tiger Habitat. Hearing is going on and the final verdict is awaited. The Government of India is against the ban as millions of dollars is at stake in terms of accommodation and other infra. The litigation is based on the fact that lot of tiger poaching is happening and hence entry should be banned. I , being a promoter of Wild Life Tourism ( http://www.rareholidays.com and also being the member of Travel Operators for Tigers ( http://www.toftigers.org) , hold a strong opinion that ban would rather increase the poaching activities as poachers will rather have absolute privacy since there will be no human in the Core Areas to detect or to alert the authorities of the Project Tigers and the Forest Department Officials !
